I am a thorough editor--both general and copy editing--with an eye toward manuscript details and overall cohesiveness. This includes character and plot development, dialogue, plot pacing and raising the quality of your writing. I won't let you get away with a single lazy sentence or cliched description.

I know what it takes to write a book. It's hard work (especially when you have a full-time job). I've been there and know what writers put themselves through to create a book from their own experiences and imagination. My critiques are thoughtful and always honest but compassionate. Lots of people talk about writing a book; few go through with it. Anyone who gets this far deserves some major kudos.

I've edited for individuals just starting out and publishers who buy manuscripts. I know the industry and can help you navigate its tricky waters.

I am also the author of a dozen books for tweens and young readers and am published by Penguin and Simon & Schuster.

There's nothing ordinary about Lucia Latham - she gets straight A's, she's been middle school Class President for two years running and she's a great boxer - nothing is more fun than a good old sparring match with best friend Cooper, especially since she usually wins. In short, there are few things Lucia tackles that don't turn out exactly how she wants them. So at the beginning of her 8th gra... read more

Taylor is great! she did a very thorough editing of my manuscript and she really is into details. very honest with her findings and I think her suggestions would make me take it as lessons on how to write a better manuscript next time. I would definitely hire Taylor again for my next children's short novel. and a plus is that her services are within my budget.

I like how Taylor focused on the details of my story. There were so many little things that were tied to main parts of the story that I was missing or needed to improve. Her work will help me a lot going into this next re-write.

Taylor's feedback was very detailed. I knew from her notes, where I'd veered off track and her helpful suggestions allowed me to easily get back on course and ultimately strengthen my overall story. I can tell from her feedback she actually read the story which is a relief to know when you've never worked with an editor before. She was well worth the money spent and I will be using her again fo...

Good collaboration but I realised after the work was done that the book was not finished. I am still working on the book.
