Kim Sokol – Designer

I'm a freelance illustrator specializing in fantasy art and imaginative realism. I have over 15 years of experience in the tabletop and card gaming space (Paizo, Fantasy Flight, WOTC, etc) and currently work primarily for Magic: The Gathering. I've also done covers for Angry Robot Books, and worked with multiple self-published authors.

My passion is fantasy art with a focus on narrative and character; my illustration degree prepared me for editorial work but playing Dungeons & Dragons for the first time radically changed my path. I have over a decade of experience working with a wide variety of clients, and can be trusted to communicate clearly and work towards the best possible version of your cover. I sincerely love helping bring stories to life.

My area of expertise includes fully composed cover illustration, as well as character art. While I would recommend hiring a designer for text layout, I do have some experience in graphic design and can handle that step upon request. Comics, picture books, and logo design are outside the scope of my expertise, and I only want to take on work I'm totally confident I can complete to the highest standard.
