WHAT A FRIEND !

" Good Morning, Sleepy head! How did you sleep last night?" Samantha asked Judith. Judith looked at Samantha, groaned, then covered herself. "IT'S MORNING ALREADY!" Judith said," Yeah"

Samantha takes a shower, then heads out for breakfast.

Samantha is seated at the cafeteria near the window, and she looks at the Children going to school. She smiles wickedly then says, "Too easy". Samantha dials her phone. " What do you want this time?" A man in a husky voice asks. " WAIT! DON'T HANG UP! I have a way in which both of us can make money," Samantha says.

" You know where to meet me if interested." She continues. The man hangs up. Samantha returns to her home. She finds Judith cleaning her house. " Your landlord came by, " Judith says you have some things to settle."

" Okay", Samantha says, then sighs. Why did this man have to remind her of her place each time? It is true she has been behind on rent, but couldn't he give her more time? But it would only be for a short while, then she would be out of debt.

Samantha wore her long red dress. James loved that dress, and she knew it. She would tell him her idea, and then he would obviously agree to invest in it. James, her boss and lover, fancied her. Was he married? Obviously. But she didn't care. She would get her money, James would leave his wife, and after sacking him dry, she would break up with him. James would come to her, and she would get everything she wanted.

Tonight, she planned to bring him to her house. The problem was Judith. She must not allow Judith to see James otherwise; her plan would be disrupted. No, Judith had to go.

" Hey Judith, umm, don't take this the wrong way, but I need you to look for somewhere else to go tonight. I am expecting someone special, and I wouldn't want it to be a bother to you." Samantha said.

" It is alright. I had somewhere to go too." Judith said.

Judith had recently separated from her husband. They had been trying for years to have a child, her husband was tired of waiting asked for a separation. Judith could not believe that the man she had loved, sacrificed her career for would one day leave her. There had to be another woman. Samantha, her friend, had offered to host her until she was able to stand on her feet.

She had stayed with her for three weeks now, but for some strange reason, she did not feel welcome. She had to look for her own place, especially now that she found out that she was pregnant. This is why she had to go to her husband, James. Maybe this news would be a chance to save their marriage. If he came to meet her tonight, she would reconsider working on their marriage.

Samantha went to the hotel, and after ordering her meal, James joined her. "Hey, I have to go in a few, so can we just discuss the idea you had, then we will see the way forward?" James said.

" What's the hurry? No compliment today? What's so important? Where are you going?”

Samantha asked.

" That is none of your business," James replied.

"Okay, one drink then, as we discuss the business idea," Samantha said coyly.

"I can do that," James replied, " about your business?"

" We will discuss it at a later time since you seem to be in a hurry,” Samantha said.

“Okay. We will just have the meal, then I will send you something small,” James said

" Alright,” Samantha said

James receives a call, gets up and leaves.

Samantha was shocked at this man’s behaviour. Why was nothing going to plan? Who was so important that he could not even be with her? She had to find out.

After paying the bill, Samantha got into a cab and followed James' car. They stopped I front of his house.

Samantha saw Judith and James getting into an argument. Judith slapped James and left. Samantha went to meet James. “ So she is the reason you left me in a hurry? After two years of marriage and you being separated from her, what would she possibly want from you? Anyway, I know how to make you feel better. Come, let's go to my place.” Samantha said

AS she got up, James refused to go with her. He turned and, as he went to open his door, Samantha hit his head with a rod. James fainted, and Samantha dragged him to his car and drove off to her place.

Samantha ties him up on the bed stand and goes to grab her gun. She hears a knock on her door. She goes to open it she finds the land lord and she hisses at him. She gives him his money and tells him not to bother her again. She would pay her rent on time. He leaves.

Judith gets back home dejected. She sits outside in deep thought. How could he be so shameless and humiliate her like that? Denying his own child! That was just pure evil. She would leave this town, raise her child on her own, and leave that cheap man with his mistress. Judith opened the house with her key. She finds the room dark. As she walks towards the switch, she stumbles on something and falls. Judith switches on the light and finds James all tied up.

" You? What are you doing here all tied up?" Judith asked

"Samantha, no!“ James struggles to warn Judith, but Judith is attacked.

Judith loses consciousness for a few minutes. When she regains consciousness, she is also tied up.

" What happened?" Judith asks, confused.

" YOU FOOL! Don't you know that your husband was cheating on you with me?"

" What?" "No time for your drama. James, you will sign these papers giving me your property. Then you will kill her or she will kill you, I really don’t care." Samantha said.

" Why would we do that?" James asked

" If you fail, I will kill your baby! She is pregnant." Samantha said.

" You knew that. She came to tell you, but you denied her. This is why I say love is for foolish people. Judith, after all the sacrifices, what has this man given you except for tears and pain? You deserve better, girl.” Samantha said mockingly

" Why are you doing this? I was your friend! I beg you, don't do this. Let us go leave our lives. If it's money you want, we will give it to you, but please let our child live." Judith cries out to Samantha.

" No!" Samantha said.

" You know, James, you had a beautiful wife. She loved you a lot. Even sacrificed a lot for you. But you had to betray her in this way. Now she is carrying your baby. Still, you treat her badly. Why did you marry her if you were going to hurt her?

" And you, Judith, you sacrificed for him. Do you know that he would come complain to me about you? That is how I knew that you were an easy target. Turns out I was right. Because of your disunity, I will reap so much from you." Samantha said, then walked away proudly.

“ I will use the wealth that you worked so hard for to start my organ harvesting business. Guess what? You, James, will be the first volunteer, and you will make me very rich,” Samantha said.

" I am really sorry, Judith. I love you." James said sadly.

" I love you too," Judith replied.

" Too bad your pathetic love is coming to an end. " Samantha sneered.

James tries hard to pull the ropes. He doesn’t know how, but he has to save his family. He goes to attack Samantha, who is holding her gun. They both fall on the floor.

"Bang! " A gunshot is heard.
