Hello reedsy fam! After a long hiatus, I have returned bigger and better!!! Literally. I gained 20 lbs over my little break. But thats not relevant at all. Because I am better. In writing, and with this new cake up on my rear end. LOL. I`m bringing booty back. Anyway. I wanted to experiment with some LGBTQIA+ community writing a little more. My BL that was set in new york city was not received very well so I wanted to go back to my yuri roots. I hope yall enjoy!! Don`t critique me too much thats the whole reason I had that hiatus. Thank you.
It was a bright sunny day in New York City. Gianna had just arrived in the city 3 months ago, looking for a fresh start after her 2 year lesbian situation-ship ended. (Her eye-contact-uationship started dating a man. Talk about #queerbaited.) After loads of tears and buckets of ice cream, Gianna knew she had to make the move in order to leave her hurt behind her. Anyway, her twin sister lived in the same apartment building as her, which was a great help. Sisterly love always wins, even if her lesbian love fell short of expectations.
"Hey, Gigi! Mind giving me a hand?"
Gianna looked towards that familiar scratchingly raspy voice. Her twin, Josie, was juggling her purse along with two matcha lattes. They were absolutely drenched in chocolata. However, they werent $20 like the smoothies in LA, because they were in NYC. They were $7 each. The goodest smoothies ain't in LA - Adela. Gianna quickly took one of the drinks off her sister's load.
"Jojo, hey, thanks for this, again," Gianna smiled awkwardly. "I promise, once I land that job, I'll be the one paying for these little treats of ours."
"I'll believe it when I see it," Josie coughed out, a cloud of smoke practically billowing from her mouth as she spoke.
Gianna took a sip of her latte, relishing in the rich flavors of Japan. She suddenly remembered her trip to Tokyo with her lesbian situationship last April, and suddenly the drink was a lot more bitter than she had just remembered tasting 3 seconds ago. She swallowed heavily and reached for her back jean shorts pocket. She hit her kiwi strawberry vape to relieve the immense stress/PTSD that the Asian country had just given her.
"Ayo, Gianna, pass me that," Josie hacked. Gianna handed it over and watched her sister hit 5 blinkers in a row without feeling a thing. Whatever, at least she was making Gianna some money. It shouldn't matter to her what she influences or accidentally enables her sister to do. Just as long as her lungs work fine enough to work that 9-5 of hers.
Gianna left her sister on the 3rd floor of the building as the elevator took her up to the 7th. Her keys jingled on her door and the hinges creaked as she let herself in. Her matcha was watered down from 30 minutes of holding it without drinking anything. She tossed it in the trash can, not even bothering to dump the matcha into the sink. Like clockwork, she ordered her weekly vapes and a pint of ice cream. She scrolled YouTube shorts as she waited for her DoorDasher to drop everything off.
*Ding Duh Dong,* sounded the doorbell. It was messed up, old, and as a result made this godawful noise. Gianna sighed and got up from her couch-rotting sesh. LOL. She turned the doorknob, her eyes fixed on the ground, expecting her order to just be dropped off. Instead, she was met with a pair of feet.
"Oh, hi, sorry to startle you," the DoorDasher laughed awkwardly. "Just ah-"
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Gianna snapped, fed up with her crappy day and just yearning for a hit. She grabbed the bag from the DoorDasher's hands. Her... soft... delicate... hands?
"Oh, I'm Hannah, your DoorDasher... um, but, call me Hanbon," the awkward, soft-handed freak replied. "I just wanted to tell you, I think your doorbell is broken."
"Hm. That's news," Gianna stated sarcastically and rolled her eyes. She began to close the door.
"Hey- wait!" Hanbon put her handbon between the doorframe and the door. "I have a friend, Anthony. He's a mechanic for this kind of stuff, and I could get him to fix it for you for free!"
"And why would you want to do that for me...?" Gianna questioned her. "I don't even know you."
"Well, I can guess you've been having a bad day," Hanbon gestured towards the delivery bag. "But, anyway, that's my favorite ice cream flavor..."
"Okay," Gianna muttered "And, for your information, its been more like a bad 3 months. Anyway... can you give me the phone number of this Anthony guy?"
Hanbon sucked in through her teeth. "I actually only have my DoorDashing phone on me... but! I can get you my cell phone number and I can relay his to you through that."
Gianna sighed and exchanged phone number with this perky, beautiful, captivating, enigmatic, magnetic, bright-eyed, white-toofed, charismatic, emblematic, light-hearted, jovial, Magnificat-going, Filipina stranger.
Only time could tell where this story would go... and the love that followed this chance encounter.
The next day, Gianna texted Hanbon.
"Do u have that guys # for me?" She sent the text. "It's Gianna."
For the next 5 minutes, Gianna watched the typing bubble appear and reappear in her chat with Hanbon. Her ringtone chimed. It was her.
"Hey... Gianna. Its Hanbon," she spoke through the phone nervously. "About my friend, Anthony... he isnt really a mechanic... he's a famous YouTuber. He doesnt know how to do jackshi...hhhh" She stopped herself before resorting to vulgar words.
"What?"
"I'm sorry. Honestly..." Hanbon exhaled heavily. "I just wanted to get your number."
Gianna's face burned. Not from embarrassment, but more like a feeling of flattery... and maybe even butterflies.
"Oh," Gianna's voice was the softest she'd ever heard herself since the situationship breakup. "Okay."
"I thought you were really pretty, mysterious, compelling, Magnificat, cute, and quite frankly you look really lesbian. What do you say, take a chance on me?"
And the rest is history...
In just half a year, Hanbon and Gianna had gotten to know eachother... more intimately. Hanbon motivated Gianna to get a job and Gianna motivated Hanbon to make sick-*ss YouTube videos. Gianna's past wounds had almost fully healed with this beautiful soul of a woman. Their biggest problem was Hanbon's growing fame. The couple had to stay out of the public eye together, in fear of hate trains and homophobia. However, they had tried their best to move past it. And... a lingering issue came up repetitively: Gianna's vape addiction. Hanbon was all clean-eating, beige-mom type of lesbian and always got on Gianna's case about it, especially because Hanbon was always complaining how her kisses tasted like Blue Raspberry Blast.
Carol digresses. This summer afternoon, Gianna was finally taking Josie out for chocolata mochi matchas at their favorite spot, now that she was finally able to pay it forward to her sister. Hanbon was going out to film a video in central park with her Bunch of Friends. The couple parted ways with a kiss and went on their ways.
"Gigi!" Josie screeched, blowing out a puff she had just taken right before she spotted her sister at the coffee shop.
"Josie! My check just came in yesterday so I figured we could-"
Suddenly two men came rushing up to the twins, shaking them on the shoulders to get their attention.
"Please!!!" Shouted the little gay one.
"We want to put you two on the news!" The one who looked like this 🙆♂️ yelled.
The sisters looked at each other and then back at the pair. "Okay! Great," Josie ran along (wheezing and out of breath) with the boys and dragged Gianna behind them before she could even process the request.
The group of four eventually approached central park, where an astonishingly large crowd had gathered. At the center of the crowd was another pair. There was a tall white man with bright blue orbs and... is that...
Hanbon and Gianna locked eyes.
"What are you guys doing?" The big headed gay asked, puzzled. The lovers kept eye contact.
"This is the throw-out-your-vape-and-hug-Hanbon(-or-me) charity event!" The blue-eyed mechanic replied, mid-hug with a fan.
The cotton candy vape in Gianna's pocket now felt heavier. On her soul. It was weighing heavily on her soul. She watched Anthony's eyes light up, watching Josie take a desperate hit simply from seeing all those discarded vapes.
"This could be great for the news! 'Twins Throw Away Their Vapes in Central Park...' I can already see the headlines," Anthony jumped up and down. "Why don't you two take our side? We can really make you famous."
Josie immediately backed away. "Yeah, no. I'll be sticking with these guys."
Hanbon suddenly stepped out from behind Anthpo. "Gianna?"
A few voices in the crowd whispered together as they tried to figure out how the pair knew each other.
"I want you to do this for me. For us. For my channel and your health," Bon took Gianna's hand, which got a louder reaction from the crowd. Gianna reached for her back pocket, taking one last hit. She dropped it in the bin.
"Gianna..." Hanbon teared up, suddenly kneeling down. "I love you. Will you marry me?"
The crowd went wild!!!! They all lived happily ever after and got on the news. obviously
Carol out!

i don’t support bunch of friends…if that’s what this story is referencing, which i’m assuming it is (come on….hanbon? anthony? you’re not fooling anyone carol….i’m onto you). anyways, EVERYONE knows bunch of friends is cancelled for the throw away your cart event in central park. the simps who just wanted a hug from sweet princess hanbon had serious withdrawals later!!! some people just like to vape ok?!!?!!?? i personally dislike them because they’re threatening to kill their baby unless the elusive neal mohan responds to their request to “notice them???” endangerment of a child, just for a sliver of attention from the ceo of youtube? obscene. carol i’m in love with you. we’ve been chatting online for 2+ years let’s make this happen already.
