This is newly appointed Captain Victor Cosimos of the Agency of Galactic Transfers and Transportation, with batch number 42-101010. This is my first week on the job after being transferred from the Office of Transfer of Intergalactic Possessions.

This marks my first report overseeing Realm 1378.

Activity this week was minimal. A total of twelve transfers has been recorded.

Three creatures transferred from Gate 76: Planet X019, to Gate 109: International Space Station Office for Multi-Realm Deals. Their transfer was business-related.

Arrival in Realm 1378: Day 3.

Return: Day 5.

Two Martians arrived in the realm via Gate 05: Planet A001, formally known as Mars, for a “two-day trip of bachelor festivities”. Their condition was… questionable. Covered in stardust and some unidentified green goo substance from their planet. Lack of hygiene is not out of the ordinary for their kind, I suppose. Despite this, their cognitive function was acceptable, so they were cleared for transfer to Gate 142: Planet F095.

Arrival in Realm 1378: Day 4

They returned intoxicated and emitted methane fuel, the so-called starship - quite an outdated way of pleasure, but who am I to judge. They were detained and received treatment until they returned to an acceptable state for transfer.

Return: Day 6

The final transfer of the week is a Jovian couple visiting their daughter from Gate 56: Planet A007, otherwise known as Jupiter, who studies galactic rights and ethics, at Planet Vulcan, Gate 87. They gave me a bag of cookies, which I, of course, could not consume, but appreciated the gesture nonetheless.

Arrival: Day 7

Return: Not yet completed

There were no significant incidents, except for the Martian imbeciles.

Personal notes:

Traffic is low, no doubt due to this being the first week of operation for realm 1378. New technology always breeds a certain level of doubt, and this realm is a new way of transferring matter across planets, galaxies, and realms. A hesitation towards the transfer gates is to be expected.

Still, I remain hopeful for the next week; perhaps we will have more creatures not only from the Galaxy: Milky Way, attempting to transfer.

With this, I conclude my first report for Week 1 of the operation of the new Realm of Transfers connecting Area 45 to 730.

From: Realm 1378 Connective Transfer Point

This is Captain Victor Cosimo; batch number 42-101010. This is the report for Weeks 2 and 3 of overseeing Realm 1378.

These weeks were much quieter than expected, so their reports have been combined at the Faculty's request.

There was a total of: 2 transfers registered, and one incident to report.

The couple transferring from Week 1 has returned to their origin. They offered me a cookie jar; perhaps it was an attempt to bribe me, though I do not know from what. I remain wary of their kind.

Return: Day 8

Those two were the only beings with successful transfers. There was an incident regarding an illegal transfer attempt.

A Martian attempted entry without the necessary paperwork. When denied entry, they became aggressive. Our guardianship intervened and detained the individual at the Correction Facility for Aliens. Martians seem to think they can do things without passing through the correct process.

Incident: Day 25

Note: It's good our guardianships are from Planet Y0062; they may not be the brightest, but they certainly have the muscle to attest for it.

No further complications.

Personal notes:

My disappointment with the reception of this new realm is obvious. I had anticipated growth following Week 1, both in the number of transfers and in a general trust in the Realm. The lack of traffic through the realm makes the entire operation feel unnecessary.

I question whether this post is the best use of my skills, but I intend to remain confident in the department.

Hopefully, traffic will rise by Week 5.

With this, I conclude my report for Weeks 2 and 3 of operation of the Realm of Transfers connecting Area 45 to 730.

EMAIL 3

To: Office of Intergalactic Transportation Inventions and Innovation

From: Realm 1378 Connective Transfer Point

This is Captain Victor Cosimo, with batch number 42-101010.

I will begin this email with a formal apology.

I have received your comments and will refrain from adding my personal comments and prejudices until the personal notes section of the weekly report. I apologize for my behavior; it won't happen again.

All creatures will now be noted as beings, and wording such as aliens or martians will not be used from now on.

This week’s activity was significantly higher than in prior weeks.

The majority of transfers originated from Gate 01: Mars, with 68 beings arriving. The purpose of travel, as stated in the documentation, was to attend a large-scale recreational gathering, described variably as a “rave”.

Due to the large number of arrivals, individual transfers have been logged internally rather than detailed in this report.

Of these total transfers:

- 63 were approved and completed without issue

- 5 attempts were denied due to improper or incomplete documentation

Of the denied attempts, 3 resulted in incidents with our guardianship staff.

Return transfers for these arrivals, already begun on Day 27, but most are planned for early Week 5.

Note on Personnel:

Two of our guardianship have been out sick for the past two days of Week 4. As of now, their absence has not significantly impacted operations.

If their absence continues, and the traffic remains at its current rate, additional personnel may be needed.

Personal note:

The increase in activity is refreshing, and has given me and the staff hope.

I was suspicious of the number of beings of Martian origin, but am attempting not to let my personal prejudices get in the way.

Request:

I would like to request the addition of cleaning staff for next week, as the beings have left a trail of stardust and unidentified green residue that requires extra maintenance.

With this, I conclude my report for Week 4 of operation of the realm of transfers connecting Area 45 with Area 730.

CALL:

Emergency Call Transmission from: Realm 1378 Connective Transfer Point

Dispatcher: Intergalactic Emergency Security Office, how may we be of assistance?

Captain: This is Captain Victor Cosimo, batch number 42-101010, reporting from Realm 1378 Connective Transfer Point. This is an emergency call.

Dispatcher: Captain, please state the nature of your emergency.

Captain: All guardianship personnel are out of the office, sick today. We made an illegal attempt to pass through the gates and the integrity of the Realm.

Dispatcher: Is your realm currently without active security?

Captain: Correct. Multiple Martian groups are attempting to pass through Gate 142 unauthorized and violently. Three staff members and I are the only ones left in the Realm, alive. We are hiding in my Office.

Dispatcher: Copy that, we-

*A metallic crash sounded through the captain's line*

Captain: Update. It is no longer an attempt. They have forced entry. We need immediate reinforcements.

Dispatcher: Estimated response time pending. Security cannot enter through the gates with the Martians pending transfer from the inside.

Captain Victor Cosimo: …Please hurry. They are getting in my office. We are under attack. I repeat. We are under attack.

*Static noise from the captain’s line*

*Line cuts off*

Transmission ended.

EMAIL 4

From: Realm 1378 Connective Transfer Point

This is Captain Victor Cosimo, batch number 42-101010.

This is my report on the emergent incident that occurred on Day 31 of the operation.

I was stupid not to understand the extent of things.

I dismissed suspicious substances as poor hygiene from a harmless celebration.

It was not.

The beings from Planet X019 were not simply passing through but carrying a virus targeted at the creatures of Planet Y0063, the planet of origin for all the guardianship of the Realm.

And we let them through.

I approved them.

I was blinded by my own prejudices.

Their virus weakened all our guardianships, one by one, and gave them the chance to attack the Realm and gain access to several different Gates. The impact this can have on the galaxy is too complex to guess.

It is my understanding that you intend to keep the Realm operating. I cannot in good conscience continue this, and so you can consider this email my official resignation.

Not all changes in evolution are for the betterment of the galaxy. We need to consider what we make and the consequences of those actions. Creating the Realm was evolutionary, but it became an easy access for extremely violent beings on all planets.

It is my personal advice that the realm closes for good; it is what I think best for this galaxy and the many more out there. I doubt you will take my advice, but that's how close to the sun you fly. You do not want to learn what it is like to be burned.

With this, I conclude my final report for the operation of the Realm of transfers connecting Area 45 with Area 730, and my time as Captain of this Realm.

Signing off.
