Bad to the Bone.
Hue.
Achoo!
Hooey.
Hachooooooo!
Hachoooey!
Next in line?
Or not.
To get rid of the bugaboo of the Achoo and Hooey, and Hachooooooo! Hachoooey?
Where is the rainbow?
Everything seems, so, well, plain. Dull. Boring. Sick.
Actually. Now. Things are very clear.
Very clear.
And stuff. You see. If and when someone has the manners to ask you to the dance, does that mean you have to go?
With them.
Hedging all their bets. And stuff.
Especially with all the hedgers of the world. And. There are many of them. Some healthy. Some wealthy. Some wise.
And
Some not.
Either of those.
Any of those and all things,
Instead, they are
Doubtful.
No longer waiting for you or on you—so “outta here” as far as you are concerned.
You?
No longer waiting for someone. All the time, you were darn-tootin’ beyond a reasonable doubt certain the wait was needed, necessary. Duty called. You answered. Then.
Suddenly life took on new meaning.
All on its own?
Not really. Not actually.
But yes,
Dutifully.
Beautifully dutifully.😇
It’ ok.
It takes time.
Your time.
My time.
Time time.
If perhaps, you falter and step outside the line of His trust. You may be tested in ways large and small,
Again.
The beautifully dutifully part is that He never leaves your side.
Never.
Or.
Ever.
The trouble with “waiting.” It is mind numbingly boring for some. And treacherously impossible for some others—without Him.
Why?
When I know. I promise to let you in on the secret. Until then.
Believing in Him is nothing short of total and complete clarity.
Wait. What?
Yep.
(Sorry ‘bout the wait☺️)
You see. He IS the final judgement.
Alway.
And.
Always.
He is.
We are responsible for one another on a level we can never even fathom, like He does. The best we can do?
Fall short.
Sounds rather dreadful, right?
Not exactly.
It prompts us daily. Minute-ly, hourly to be at our best. Even if and when the direst of circumstances test our ability to stay strong, stay the course of seeking and soaking in the light of His true love.
Yea.
Other kinds of love do exist.
Not like his.
His love is pure and everlasting.
Ours?
Gets hedged.
We think we can. But we can’t.
What?
Cheat death.
Ask Noah.
Huh?
“No one knows the Day and Hour” (Matthew' Mark, Luke)
He comes. But. No one knows. Not the angels, not the Son of Man. Not even Noah, knew.
“Just as in the days before the Flood, people ate and drank, men and women married, up to the very day Noah went into the ark; yet they did not know what was happening until the Flood came and swept them all away. “
”That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes.”
Ugh.
Talk about being stranded.
On second base.⚾️.
Without a paddle, of any kind.
”At the time two men will be working in the field: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind.”
Ugh.
So.
Watch out.
For the line drive.
It could “ouchy” before you were even able to see it coming.
The funny thing about clarity?
It is clear.🙂
Don’t be caught sleepin’ when the Big Guy comes a call in’.
On you.
To step up.
To be the man he hopes you will be.
He never thinks “hope” is a four letter word.
Why?
He knows better.
God Only Knows.
And.Because sacrificially,
He taught his son the ropes.
The knotted ones, the tentacled ones, the stringy ones, and all the ones in between.
Sorry to be the bearer of the news that today was not the day of hitting it out of the park, or past the pitcher.🙃
We all foul.
Strike out, too.
It is, or can be, embarrassing.
Whiffing and all.
Waiting in hope is not the same as waiting patiently.
Waiting with the patience of a saint.
Patience is a virtue.
In our 24/7 world of instant gratification.
How in the world will we learn the skill of waiting?
The first to know.
The first in line.
The first here.
The first there.
Really. All most of us are doing is falling all over ourselves to “get there.”
Once there, we have no idea what to do. There.
With “it” all.
That is where He comes in.
To save us.
From ourselves.
From others.
From bad decisions.
For disregardment.
And. All the sinful nature things we may not even realize we do.
Because we were never taught.
Because we were scared.
Because we did not trust.
In the One who knew.
Sacrificed His life, too.
On the list of your things to do today,
Did you stop to consider this?
That He gave up His life.
For you?
It is worth repeating.
Which the lesson of the Bible does.
Repeatedly, Repeat.
Again. And. Again.
In ways and means even the most cynical of humans cannot understand. He repeats.
We ignore.
He repeats.
We think we know better.
He repeats.
We forget.
He repeats.
We are lazy.
He repeats.
We claim we do not “get it.”
He repeats.
We look the other way.
He repeats.
We think our plan is “better”
He repeats.
We are selfish.
He repeats.
We fall down.
He repeats.
We repeat mistakes with no remorse.
He repeats.
We wait.
He repeats.
We wait some more.
He repeats.
We finally take seriously.
His message of the mass destruction we may cause and did not even care until it almost became too late….
Enter.
His Power.
Of
Doing the right thing.
Surely.
The rainbow exhibits new hues.
They are inclusive,y and dutifully beautifully exhibited in ALL OF US!
Hurray!
Now.
We ALL have jobs to do.
Get to work for goodness sake!
The doubting will come back.
He will be here, there and everywhere.
For you.
To Him.
Color makes NO difference.
He is the one and only one capable of showering us with a rainbow. Just ask Noah…..
On the darkest days, He is our redeemer.
On the brightest days, He is our redeemer.
It is our duty,
to remember all He has done for us.
In the name of His Son.
Our Lord and Savior.
Jesus.
