I woke up to someone knocking on my door, not loudly, or quickly, but normally, as if to deliver something. I had just been having an incredibly vivid dream, about the faceless again. The memories were starting to fade, but I had remembered hearing the words, "They come tonight"

I walked out of my room, through the hall, grabbing my shoes, and to the front door, I looed through the peephole when I saw a man standing there, his face unseeable, "Uh, hello?"

He didn't respond, "Sir?" I tried to get his attention, I finally decided he couldn't hear me through the door or something. So I opened the door, and called out again, "Sir, are you deaf or something?" I asked in a sarcastic, and rude way.

I decided to speak again, "Listen man, if you're lost, or stupid, just say something. It's 12 at fucking night, get a life you dick!" he didnt respond, so I thought about apologizing for a moment when suddenly he jumped at me. Now obviously, as a regular person, I kicked him in the chest, making him stop, and fall backwards. I saw his face in the moonlight. Except he didn't even have a face.

Now, like any sensible person I decided, I needed to kill it. Obviously. I stomped on its head, hearing a crack, and a muffled cry, I stomped again, heard another sickening crunch of my soles, sinking into his smooth face. There was another muffled screech.

I stomped again, hearing another, more deep, and loud crunch, it's arms were flailing. Almost as if it were human. I stomped again, when finally it's skull began to give way, I felt my foot sink down slightly, not enough to kill it yet, so i stomped again, my foot sinking deep into its skull, the crunch accompanied with a squish.

It stopped screeching, and went silent. I looked at the gore, the blood, the bones, the stringy bits of flesh. I walked back inside my house. I knew this day would come. I had dreams every night, being warned of the faceless. I grabbed my shotgun, my revolver, and my bat.

I heard another muffled screech outside, and I looked through the window, another creature with a mouth that was too round, and smooth to be a mouth, it fired a black ball at me, breaking my window and barely missing me. I pointed my pistol at it and fired. hitting it in the head. It fell, I heard several other creatures screeching.

I walked outside, and saw several of them, some with those mouths, and some with claws, and one that looked like a dog, with a giant mouth. I grabbed my shotgun, and pointed it at them, firing the slugs at the ones with mouths in quick succesion, before they could really react.

The dog then charged at me, and I shot it in the head, in reaction. I then grabbed my buckshot, and reloaded my shotgun, shooting the clawed ones as they charged at me. Soon there were 10 bodies in total. I heard a screech behind me, and felt a sudden sharp pain in my back.

I turned around, seeing the mouthed one, and I fired, making it screech, fall, but not die. I walked up to it, and began stomping on its skull, like the first one. Hearing the crunch, but I stomped hard enough to kill it within the first three stomps.

I then felt a zap through my body, my legs tensing up, I screamed, after a couple seconds i could turn around, and I saw another one, which had no face, but hands of electricity. I shot it.

I began to sprint to my car, feeling blood pouring down my back. I turned the car into gear and floored it. I went onto the freeway. Going 70 miles an hour, I saw the faceless in cars, and screeching at one another, as if they were human families.

Soon I realized, they must've taken over their bodies and became them, and I was the last one alive. I realized i had forgotten my dog in the rush, and pulled a sudden u-turn, running into one of the faceless's cars, but I sped down the road as fast as my car would go.

Eventually I reached my house, but there were even more of the faceless there, investigating the bodies. I ran inside my house, before they could see me. Then I saw my dog, happy as can be, but his eyes had began to go smooth. I knew it would be better if I had shot him now, rather than let him be one of those disgusting parasites.

I looked at him, got on my knees, and pet him. His innocent mind still happy to see me, as if he wasn't turning into one of them. I pet him, tears welling up, "I'm sorry buddy. But, I can't let you suffer.

I grabbed the knife on my end table, and stabbed him in the neck, he quickly bled out, his blood warm against my arms. I held him as he wriggled for a couple of seconds i whispered, "I love you buddy. I'm sorry."

I sat there for a couple of moments, not moving, not thinking, not wanting to do anything. I felt sad for doing this, and worse for the fact he was going to die either way. I heard a screech behind me, outside the door. I didn't move, I didn't speak.

It didn't know I was there yet, but i hoped that if i was completely silent, it wouldn't find out. But then I heard more screeches, as if they made a plan to attack me. To kill me, and enjoy it.

I turned around, and pointed my pistol at the door, "Well come on then you faceless fucks!!!" I screamed, and the door swung open, I fired, 7 times, until there weren't any more screeches. They had all fallen down, and I chuckled, "Yeah thats right! You can't beat me you worthless parasites!"

Suddenly my vision shook, as if I was coming back to the real world. I saw bodies of cops, and I saw blood. Human, not those things, they turned into human.

I turned around to my dog, and saw that it wasnt turning at all. I cried out, "NO!" I turned around, running out, I saw the front lawn covered in blood, surrounded by bodies. I knew I had killed innocent people.

The person who had knocked on my front door, was a kid. A lost kid. I heard more sirens. I closed my eyes, pulled my pistol to my head, and pulled the trigger. The last thing i heard, was a bang.
