Adventure Fantasy Romance

This story contains themes or mentions of physical violence, gore, or abuse.

Rowen was built like a stallion. Solid muscles rippling everywhere. He was six foot eight and huge. His face was like that of a Greek God with piercing, blue eyes and a chiseled jaw. Rowen was an Alpha, a ruler among his werewolf pack, a coveted position, like that of a pop star. And beside him, ruled his Luna.

Luna Carina was a ravishing, statuesque beauty, with cascading brown locks that fell to the middle of her back and deep, brown, doe eyes. She was the epitome of elegance and grace. And, Alpha Rowen loved her fiercely.

The pack that Alpha Rowen ruled, and dwelled, was called The Darkmoon Pack. A secret group of werewolves hidden deep within the wilderness. Keeping their pack private was so vital, that they would turn, anyone who discovered their location, into a werewolf.

It was a dark night, with a new moon, when a pack child was reported missing. Alpha Rowen sent his warriors out to search for the child with him. He was walking down a dark, wooden path when suddenly, men dressed in soldier fatigues jumped out. Alpha Rowen elongated his hands into razor-sharp claws.

“You die tonight werewolf!” The man raised his gun, but before he got one shot off, Alpha Rowen sliced through his arm, causing his weapon to drop to the ground. Alpha Rowen then spun out of the way of bullets fired in his direction and in one instant, took the head off of the shooter. Two more attempted to throw a net over him, but he dodged it. He punched out one of the men with the net and charged toward the other like a snarling beast, but he was hit in the back of the head with a wine bottle so hard he fell unconscious.

When he awoke, he was in a basement, which was odd because there are no basements in California. They usually didn’t build them in lands without tornadoes. He threw himself against the door, trying to get out, only to discover it was steel. He was trapped. Soon, the door unlocked and man with two armed guards came down. Rowen could smell they were werewolves. “I’m Evans. You are trapped now, Alpha. There is no getting out of here. I built this hidden dungeon myself. I have been planning to either kill or capture you or a long time. Now that you are out of the way, your Luna is mine!” exclaimed Evans.

“She will never choose you!” Rowen growled.

“She will choose me. She almost chose me before you came along.” Evans then threw a tray of food onto the ground and walked out, smiling.

Rowen paced, furiously, like a caged beast. Eventually he thought to try the roof. “The walls were concrete and the door was steel, but what about the roof?” he thought to himself. He threw his fist toward the roof and it bursted right thew it. He then tore the roof apart like paper and leaped from the basement floor into the cabin above him. Shots tore through the air from the two warriors he surprised. Alpha Rowen dodged the bullets with blinding speed. He knocked out one man with a punch and as he spun to avoid other bullets firing in his direction. Rowen grabbed the man’s gun and hit the man with the butt of the gun, rendering him unconscious. In the corner was the missing child, chained. The juvenile was no doubt meant to lure him out.

Rowen approached the child gently. “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you,” he said. He then ripped through the chains as if they were aluminum, freeing the the little one. He picked up the child and charged out of there to return to his pack.

When he arrived back, everyone cheered and hoot and hollered when they saw their Alpha had returned and with the missing kid. His Luna Carina ran to him and he embraced her in his arms and gripped her hair gently, then began kissing her wildly. “Oh, how I missed you, my Luna,” he said between breathless kisses he feathered on her neck.

“So you’re back,” said Evans, squaring off, ready for a fight.

Alpha Rowen growled and approached Evans, ready to tear him apart. “You kidnapped me and that child. For these crimes, you will be punished.”

“I don’t plan to go to your dungeon. You fight me now, to the death. I am after your Alpha position and your lovely Luna,” said Evans.

“If a fight to the death is what you want, then a fight to the death is what you shall have!” hollered Alpha Rowen with a snarl. The two men slammed into each other like two ancient Vikings in battle. Evans was huge, but Alpha Rowen was a mansion of man, both enormous and regal. Evans punched Alpha Rowen with three uppercuts, one after the other. This threw back Alpha Rowen’s head, opening him up to a mighty gut punch. The air was knocked out of him, but that didn’t stop him for a second. He pushed Evans back, front kicked him in his chest and than spun his leg, doing a roundhouse kick into his ribs. Evans dropped to the ground with a thud. Then, when he was down, Alpha Rowen picked him up by his head and snapped his neck with a loud crack. “Take this piece of garbage and bury him in a shallow grave. He is not worthy of an honorary funeral pyre,” said Alpha Rowen to his men.

Luna Carina threw herself into Alpha Rowen’s arms. He spun her around as he clung to his love. “You did it! You stopped him once and for all!” she said excitedly. Then, she kissed him passionately and he returned her kiss with such ardor that onlookers were mesmerized seeing the two so emphatically in love.

“I will always protect you, my love. You are mine,” he said breathlessly as he continued to kiss her with fiery heat.
