(These are just my opinions so don’t think that your way is bad or wrong! Everyone has a different way!)
one idea is adding real things. I add little things like Marigolds to my story to make it have a real life feel to it. You wouldn’t add this if it’s fictional.
another idea is planning. Plan the characters before you write the story! As well as the plot.
give advice to other people. They might help you out later!
read story’s. Don’t copy off them, but do something similar.
