Luke walks into the room and sees Maya on the bed with the bird in her hand waiting for him.

“Is it in”?, she says with a playful smile on her face. “It is, yours?”

She nods her head and motions for him to come to her. Luke mounts her as she turns on the bees with the remote and they start making out. After a while, she pulls away. “Let’s take them out”, Luke reaches for the bird, but he can’t find it. “Where’s the bird?” Maya sits up and checks the night stand, “I put it right here”. They both get up and start checking the area for the bird. “It was just here, how did it move?” Maya looks towards the door and sees it’s open. “Where’s Lucy?”, “I don’t know. Why?” Maya takes a deep breath, “because she’s a cat and the remote to our vibrators is shaped like a bird.” Luke's face morphs into panic and they both run out of the room to search for the cat. They search the whole apartment and Lucy is nowhere to be found. Maya is in the kitchen looking for Lucy, when Luke comes in. “I can’t find her anywhere, I checked the bathroom and living room”, Maya sits back and sighs, “Where did she go?” She looks up in desperation and spots Lucy perched on top of the refrigerator with the silicone bird in her mouth. “She’s up there, grab her”, Luke reaches for Lucy, she scratches him and jumps off the fridge. “Ow she scratched me”, Maya rolls her eyes and gets up, but as soon as she stands her body tenses. She clings onto the wall to stabilize herself and looks over at Luke, who is now hunched over the counter. “I think she turned up the intensity”, Maya says through gritted teeth. Luke is barely able to get the words out, “yep, I feel it”. Maya starts trying to make her way out of the kitchen, holding onto anything to keep her from falling. “Where’s your phone?” Luke is still clutching the counter, “It’s dead, I left it in the bedroom”. “Why didn’t you charge it, we could’ve downloaded the app and turned off the birds”. Luke, straightens up as much as he can and turns to Maya with irritation and pain in his eyes, “Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we’d be having sex right now, not chasing a cat that’s holding the remote hostage. Where’s your phone? Why don’t you download the app and turn off the birds?”. Maya looks away sheepishly, “the app isn’t compatible with my new phone”. Luke now filled with rage, “I told you not to get that phone”, “Oh, so now this is my fault?”, “Well you accused me first”, Maya rolls her eyes again, “Whatever let’s just get the cat, do you see her?”

Luke starts moving to the living room, “she’s on the couch”. Maya grabs his arm and tells him to hand her one of Lucy’s toys. “OK, I’m gonna distract her with this, while you try to grab her”, Lucy is sitting on the couch playing with the bird when she notices Maya with her toy and stops paying attention to the bird. Luke tries to approach Lucy, but she grabs the bird and runs up her cat tree when she sees him coming. Seconds later Luke drops to his knees and screams into the couch cushions, “She turned it up again”. Maya is standing against a door frame trying to move, but she can’t. She’s gripping the frame so hard that it breaks and she falls to the ground. She crawls over to Luke, “Lets just try to pull them out”, Luke nods his head in agreement, “, Maya starts digging around trying to pull hers out, but she can’t find it. Luke comes over to help. He finds the bee, but he is unable to pull it out. He’s getting frustrated “I can’t get it, relax your kegels”. “ Do you really think I have control over that right now? Forget it, let’s see if we can get yours out”. He stops her and shakes his head, “It’s gone”. “What do you mean it’s gone?” Luke doesn’t respond, but in the silence a loud hum is heard coming from his stomach. She looks at him with concern in her eyes and he looks back with tears in his. While they’re both on the floor, Lucy comes out from the top of her cat tree with the bird still in her mouth. “There she is” Maya says breathlessly. Luke looks up, “ What are we gonna do now”. Maya reaches for the laser pointer and turns it on. She points it at Lucy and it has its desired effect. Lucy stops and starts following the laser. Maya is trying to keep her hand steady, but the bee is still buzzing inside of her at the highest intensity. She’s able to get Lucy down two tiers from the six tier cat tree when the sensation overwhelms her. Maya's hands start spasming causing the laser to dart around uncontrollably. The laser movement startles Lucy and causes her to go flying out of the open window of the 14th floor apartment. At first, only a small crash and a blood curdling scream is heard. Then a car horn honking erratically followed by the sound of a car crashing and several more crashes after that. Multiple explosions turned the street into a giant fireball. The singular scream morphed into a cacophony of shrieks. Calling out in terror over the hellish landscape unfolding before them. Soon the sounds of sirens joined the ensemble. Luke and Maya managed to crawl to the window and watched in horror as their once peaceful street became a nightmare. At this moment they realized the bees had stopped buzzing and they wept into each other's arms.

Six Months Later

“Welcome back everyone! We still have Luke and Maya here to finish telling us about their horrible experience. I can’t even imagine what that must have been like for you guys. Now is it true that 37 people died that night?” Luke clears his throat, “Yep and 54 injuries reported, us included”. “I’m so sorry to hear that. Do you mind speaking more on your injuries?” Maya nods her head,” We both are permanently paralyzed from the waist down.”, “Wow, thank you two so much for coming here and sharing your story with us and our viewers at home. Are there any words you liked to leave us with before you go?. Luke and Maya look at each other and nod before saying in unison. “Close the door”
