“🎶🎼🎵”
”It only takes a spark to get a fire going.”
”And soon all those around will warm up in its glowing.”
”That’s how it is with God’s love,”
”Once you experience it.”
”You spread His love to everyone.”
”You WANT to,”
”Pass it on”
At this time of year most everyone is considered a kid, definitely a child, of His, of the most High.
Clearly, as life has shown us “lately” expressions of fear run wild and deep with hurt doubt and, well, everywhere.
We come together at this time of year, at the end of a very long year for some, and a year that blew by in a heartbeat. The older we get, the faster it goes—this may be a mathematical equation or it may just be fact, but reality, the jury is still out, wayyyyy out.
Any body can judge.
And judge or judgment can be bought. Maybe paid for.
This time of year brings folks together because it is a celebration of birth. For some, old birth. For others, new birth. Along the way there have been off the mark attempts at re-writing the narrative in order to change the story.
Let’s just call it “Re-arranging the facts.”
Right down the middle of doubt and fear and no one will make a decision.
It has been said by men, (sorry, yes, men) who walked before us that it is better to make a decision than no decision.
Agree.
With the sentiment and pretty much all the tentacles that may poke and prod in the interim and future.
But.
Sorry.
Always a but.
We live in speedy, speed-demon-times. To be forced to wait adds years, yes YEARS to an equation that was robbed of its common sense long ago.
We humans, in our clumsy attempts to right wrongs, used a myriad of rusty tools at our “disposal” including that of children’s lives, teacher pensions and corpspeak my turns. Along with doctors hiding the HIPPA oaths under the mattresses of the weak and dying, who knows what is up or down.
But it sure is cold.
Yes. Little girl. It was terribly cold and you tried to tell us and yet we did not listen. You wrote of your fate numerous times and even the closest, clear-eyed missed it.
The mark.
Missed the princess.
And.
The pea.
The Ugly Duckling.
And Its waddling, falling over brother.
Enter. The Spin Doctor to throw us off track of all that is true and good and right. Some may simply call it a collection of the consciousness. Others may rebel and refuse to wake up to the maddening mess around them, the one in their very own orbit of all this is right and good and true.
Preferring to look the other way and pretend the pretending is really reality🤓
In the meantime as the toes freeze and the light switch flickers and wavers, many a child is lost in the shuffle of the right and wrong war game cards of blink and you miss it.
Nowadays, at least, we have instant this and instant that, instant messaging and instant rice. We hunger for a truth and to NOT play the game of our own demise while playing the game of our own demise.
Did you know? Solidarity in today’s communication mess is a thing called group think? What this means.
Inability to sufficiently complete a sentence.
”How now brown cow grazing in the green, green grass.”
Yep.
But today.
It is organic or it is nothing. The pesticides have killed any reason and the check was cashed long ago by someone.
I ask: How can a human have a conscience if they cannot even think?😏
Well. One guy (yes, ladies, a guy) tried to explore if there is a soul in this groupthink mentality of collective conscience thinking and reacting.
Scipio Sighele, an Italian psychologist, sociologist, criminologist🧐 and a pioneer of mass psychology studied the groupthink thinking during his lifetime of 1868-1913. No phones, no lights, no motor cars—not a single luxury (wait, sorry that was Gillian)(wk)
My apologies:
Sighele is famous for the work The Criminal Crowd and the influence of a crowd on its members. Sighele died at the age of 45.He collaborated with some others who were able to further study the effects of crowd think and group think.
Safety in numbers?
Not exactly.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Not exactly.
Jean-Gabriel de Tarde found that much like chemistry, individuals’ fundamental forces are imitation and innovation.
That seems oddly a wide berth and a much too wide range of spectrum pendulum- ins to me.
Well, to put it in simplest language, de Tarde found a “herd mentality” to be present in group think mentality. Just like economic psychology rules the day for some in scrolling through pictures, images and the like of the perfect,
burger.🍔
Binge burger? Kinda.
Tarde took an interest in criminology and the psychological basis of criminal behavior while serving as a public servant. He found tendencies of a criminal to return to the scene of the crime and to repeat it. He saw this as a wider process of what he called “repetition compulsion.” (wk)
Repetition compulsion is the unconscious tendency of a person to repeat a traumatic event or its circumstances.
Unfortunately, this is a perfect sense statement to and of a person who experiences a traumatic event.
Why?
First let’s take on the how. Repetition compulsion may take on the form of symbolically or literally re-enacting the event, putting oneself in situations where the event is likely to occur again. Repetition compulsion can also take the form of dreams in which memories and feelings are repeated.
In the case of psychosis, may even be hallucinations. (wk)
What’s the point?
The mind is a mystery. The cold little girl feels the cold not because the temperature is below zero and the wind is of hurricane force.
Because if not dealt with properly in the first place, the tentacles of lazy opportunists take their place in the ring for a game of doubt and fear.
No thank you.
Reminder: 🎶🎵🎼 It only takes a spark to get a fire going. And soon, all those around will warm up in its glowing.
That’s how it is with God’s love.
