Overview
I’m drawn to fiction across the genre spectrum but especially those which shed light on underrepresented perspectives, take place outside Western contexts, and grapple with contemporary sociocultural themes and radical politics without sacrificing satisfying storytelling. Over the past eight years, I've acquired New York Times bestselling thrillers like Alaina Urquhart’s The Butcher and the Wren and its sequel The Butcher Game, literary crime fiction like Margot Douaihy’s Scorched Grace and its sequel Blessed Water, and bestselling literary horror debuts like Gerardo Sámano Córdova’s Monstrilio, Grace Byron’s Herculine, and Laura Cranehill’s Wife Shaped Bodies.
As an editor, I believe that writing is an inherently collaborative process and strive to ensure that my editorial interventions big and small cohere with the author's vision for the book's development.
