Sarah Hodder – Editor

I am a freelance proofreader and copyeditor who works for several publishers including Pen and Sword Books, Collective Ink Publishing and Herbert Press (part of Bloomsbury). This has given me experience in working across a whole range of subjects from history to holistic care, philosophy to art and design.

My particular speciality is history and I have worked on texts across all periods, from the Vikings to the Victorians, although I have a particular interest in women’s history. I also have an interest in holistic health care, spirituality, and folklore and myth.

I started my career in publishing working for Shire Publications, where I oversaw the production of books from manuscript receipt to print. This has given me a broad knowledge of the publishing industry as a whole. In later years I have been privileged to be able to turn my hand to writing books, and am now a published author of several non-fiction titles on women during the Wars of the Roses and early Tudor periods.

Anyone who knows me will testify that I love books! I have been an avid reader since I was achild and this means that I care about making your book or text the best that it can be so that it is ready for publication.
