Hi! I'm Sarah. I make eye-catching covers that leap off the shelves! I love using illustration and design to make complicated topics simpler and easier for readers to understand! I especially love drawing food, and making it as appetizing, lively and enticing as possible.

I have over twenty years of professional experience in illustration, comic books, graphic design, art direction and book design. I am the artist behind the Let's Make! comic book cookbook series: I coauthored and illustrated Let's Make Ramen! (2019), Let's Make Dumplings! (2021), and Let's Make Bread! (2024), and I am the sole author and illustrator of Let's Make Cocktails! (2026), all published by Ten Speed Press. I also illustrated the cookbook The Adventures of Fat Rice (2016).

I create colorful, vibrant food illustrations that draw people in and make them hungry, and I also enjoy creating clean, clear instructional illustrations that elucidate complex techniques. I'm adept at sorting out complicated, graphics-heavy page layouts, and I'm proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
