Overview
My creative juices originate from many different places. Having lived in Rome, Paris, NYC and Buenos Aires, the materials and memories I pull inspiration from come from an interesting cocktail of all those cultures.
I've studied illustration at School of Visual Arts in NYC, a city so full of opportunities for an illustrator: I've worked with newspapers like the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and for publishing houses like Crown Publishers and Duopress (a division of Workman Publishing).
I love the collaborative process that creating an illustration is. Translating text and ideas into images is a bit of magic. I do many rough sketches for each idea, put it down with brush and ink on paper, then finally color it digitally. There are always elements of positivity, whimsy and cheerfulness to my pieces.
I'm reliable, fast, happy to do revisions if needed.
Lately, I've been experimenting with pattermaking and surface design. I have a small collection of greeting cards with Great Arrow Graphics and fabric patterns on Spoonflower.
I now live in Portland, Maine with my family. Portland is a lovely little gem of a town on the sea, with ridiculously cold winters and incredibly wonderful summers.
I'm also fluent in Italian, Spanish and French :-)
