Overview
A finished manuscript deserves more than formatting.
The books readers remember rarely succeed because of the words alone. Typography, page composition, rhythm, proportion, and visual clarity all shape the experience of reading. When these elements are handled thoughtfully, a book feels effortless. When they are neglected, readers notice—even if they cannot explain why.
For years I've helped authors transform completed manuscripts into professionally designed print and ebook editions. My work focuses on interior book design, typography, and production, with particular attention paid to readability, visual balance, and the unique character of each manuscript.
I do not approach books as templates to be filled.
Each project begins with the manuscript itself. A memoir requires a different visual voice than a work of history. A philosophical text demands different treatment than a thriller. My role is to create a design that serves both the content and the reader without calling unnecessary attention to itself.
Over the course of more than 200 published books, I've worked across fiction, memoir, history, philosophy, religion, business, and literary nonfiction. While genres vary, the objective remains the same: to create books that feel intentional, professional, and built to endure.
I work with a limited number of authors each month to ensure careful attention throughout the design and production process.
If your manuscript has already completed editing and you are ready to produce a book that reflects the quality of the work you've written, I'd be pleased to discuss the project.

MY APPROACH
Every book presents its own design challenges and opportunities.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all template, I develop layouts that support the content, genre, and intended reading experience of each manuscript.
My process emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and attention to detail. Authors receive professional guidance throughout production while maintaining confidence that the technical aspects of publication are being handled correctly.

COVER DESIGN
I occasionally accept cover design projects when they align with the overall scope and creative goals of the book. Availability for cover work is limited and evaluated on a project-by-project basis.
ABOUT ME
I'm a writer, musician, and visual artist whose influences include literature, history, philosophy, classic cinema, American storytelling, Baroque music, and 1950s jazz.
Books have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. Whether I'm writing, reading, or designing them, I'm drawn to the way thoughtful craftsmanship can elevate a reader's experience and help an author's work find its strongest possible form.
