Steph Rawlins – Editor

Dedicated indie romance editor ❤️ Developmental 🗺️ Line ✏️ Coaching 👏 All genres & spice levels welcome🌶️ specializing in Reverse Harem

Overview

I run my own editing services business, supporting romance authors of all backgrounds as they craft their stories. Having someone rip into your book baby can be hard, but I do it in a way that's friendly, kind, and constructive, with a bit of humor thrown in.

I will help make your manuscript the best it can be. I offer developmental editing (big-picture structure, pacing, and storytelling) and line editing (polishing language, improving flow, and strengthening style).

My clients particularly enjoy and value my coaching service, which can cover anything you need, from brainstorming plot points prior to your first draft to solving that final element you aren't happy with.

I'm proud to say that I've played a part in helping at least 5 books reach the top 10 of the entire Kindle store.

I know firsthand how tough it can be to be an indie writer—you’re often juggling everything yourself, from writing and editing to marketing and publishing. As someone who also runs my own business, I relate to those challenges and aim to partner with writers in a way that supports their goals. I genuinely want to see everyone succeed and find their place as an author.

My client list spans a mix of genres and experience levels, from debut authors to seasoned novelists. Many come back for additional projects, which speaks to the trust and results we build together. I tailor my process to each writer’s needs, drawing on deep knowledge of different genres, current publishing trends, and what makes a manuscript stand out.

Keeping things personal is important to me. This isn’t just editing; it’s a partnership aimed at helping every writer reach their goals and bring their stories to life.

I do not use AI in my editing.
