How do I prepare my book cover PDF for Blurb?

Ask your designer to review the Blurb cover calculator for exact dimensions.

Which trim size should I use for best results?

When exporting from our writing app, we recommend using either the Reedsy Standard (5x8") or Reedsy Trade (6x9") trim sizes. If you work with a designer from the Reedsy Marketplace, they can format your book to any of Blurb's 9 standard trim size. They can also help you with a custom trim size, please contact Blurb Client Services for a consultation prior to designing a custom book.

ISBN numbers

When uploading to Blurb, be sure to include the correct ISBN number on your interior PDF export. This same number can also be added to the Blurb interface for automatic printing of your barcode on the cover PDF.
