Overview

I am a writer and editor based in Edinburgh, UK. I have a decade of editorial and copywriting experience, working with companies such as Hodder & Stoughton, HarperCollins, Faber & Faber, Juilliard and Ericsson. For the past four years, I have worked as an editor for a prominent literary consultancy, providing creative editorial feedback, mentoring, proofreading, and copy-editing.

My narrative non-fiction, which focuses on place, memory and nature, has been published widely in journals and online, such as Places Journal, Ernest Journal, Elsewhere, The Clearing (Little Toller Books), The Calvert Journal and Zoomorphic. My fiction was shortlisted for the Bath Novel Award in 2017. I graduated with Distinction from the Creative Writing MA at Bath Spa University in 2016 under the supervision of Philip Hensher, where I was shortlisted for the Janklow & Nesbit Prize – an award for the best manuscript to emerge from the course.
