Natalie Morrill

Natalie Morrill – Editor

I'm an editor, writer and post-secondary educator keen to work with authors of narrative works. | Novelist with HarperCollins Canada

Overview

I'm an editor keen to work with authors of fiction and narrative non-fiction. I'm especially enthusiastic about character-driven and innovative works from a variety of genres. Offering substantive editorial feedback for authors honing their plot, pacing and character development is what I'm most excited about, though I'm also very happy to offer copy editing and proofreading services.

I'm an award-winning author published through HarperCollins Canada and Canadian literary journals. I edit fiction for the American literary magazine Dappled Things, and I teach creative and professional writing at a large polytechnic college. I've edited work and mentored writers in a variety of contexts, from universities, to community support groups, to publishing houses.

I adore the craft of writing, and I know firsthand what difference an excellent editor can make. Seeing other writers reach their "Aha!" moment with a text is the next-best thing to experiencing it with my own writing – and sometimes I wonder if it isn't even more fun.

I'd love to hear about what you're working on. Get in touch!
