Overview

A storyteller is born as a result of the partnership between a writer and an editor who is passionate about your work and can motivate you to the finish line. I am a writer, editor and content strategist, with over 20 years of experience. Some of my specialities include mystery novels (very keen on cozies!), Young Adult, historical fiction, time travel, fantasy, health care, publishing, travel, home & garden, food culture, and retail. I love working with new authors and my secret power is writing book cover and ad copy. If I've just edited your novel, I'm in a good position to write your copy!

I started my editing career as a proofreader for the Associated Press and moved into book publishing for Llewellyn Worldwide Inc. where I worked on mystery novels, Young Adult fiction, paranormal love stories and calendars/almanacs.

For much of of my career, I've written and edited high-profile executive stories, scripts, blog posts and other content for Fortune 500 companies, including for VIPs in the Fortune Top 10.

Michelle was great! She responded quickly and was able to complete the project on a tight deadline. Michelle was very detailed and caught many of my mistakes-and delivered the comments in a considerate way. I would definitely work with her again. Thanks, Michelle!

Michelle gave some valuable feedback. However, I've had other editors provide more extensive work in previous projects. Michelle was sick at the time of the deadline and had to be late with the delivery of the project. Had she been well, the outcome may have been different.

Working with Michelle on the fourth installment of the Kennedy Reeves Mystery series was a delight. Her insights were spot on and charged me to tighten up the work for the readers. I could not have brought this book to market without her valuable help, and the rankings from the release prove it.

Michelle did a fabulous job copyediting and proofreading my manuscript. She caught continuity/repetition issues that I missed and was also encouraging and kind. I felt like she connected with my project and understood my vision, which I really appreciated and made me less nervous about the whole process (this is my first novel). I would recommend Michelle as an editor 150%!
Michelle K.
Thank you so much, Meredith! I loved working with you as well and I'm so happy we connected. I can't wait to read your next novel!
