I am a highly motivated and attentive editor and freelance writer with more than 7 years of experience in the publishing industry. My previous roles include working as an editor for National Geographic Kids, working on scholarly books for the University Press of New England, and working on outdoor-focused guidebooks for the Appalachian Mountain Club. I have also recently written two upcoming non-fiction children's books: In the Desert, published with National Geographic Kids, and King Cobra and Other Deadly Snakes, published with Scholastic.I have extensive experience with children's non-fiction, including project managing and editing leveled readers, activity books, and fun reference books on subjects ranging from the history of modern music to an exploration into the world of biomimicry—scientific innovations inspired by animals.
