Overview
I tailor my feedback to each client's specific goals and I'm happy to work with writers who are pursing self-publishing and/or traditional publishing.
I offer:
Proofreading and copyediting
An editorial letter with feedback
Substantive editing with in-line suggestions
Feedback on a story outline
I am also happy to do additional consultations over Zoom for an hourly fee. We can talk about how to turn your idea into an outline, why outlining helps, what resources exist for people who want to write for children, how to find agents, how to submit to agents and editors, understanding work-for-hire and more!
I'm the author of over a dozen fiction and nonfiction books, textbooks, and online educational resources. I always write for children. I write crafts, recipes, articles, and stories for magazines like Highlights for Children. I've been nominated for and won some awards. I also teach a class on writing picture books in the Writing for Children and Young Adults Certificate graduate program at McDaniel College. I'm represented by Aevitas Creative Management. I was the regional advisor for SCBWI PA West.
