Michael Martin – Editor

I have a Ph.D. in English literature, founded and edit a literary journal, Jesus the Imagination, and have seven years experience as a freelance editor and editorial consultant for Angelico Press. I have worked on fantasy, memoir, fiction, poetry (including poetry translation), as well as theology and philosophy. In addition I have served as a manuscript referee for a number of academic journals, I have previous experience as a master teacher and teaching mentor which helped me develop some useful skills in working with authors. That is, I'm a pretty gentle editor--I don't want to take over the project or frustrate an author. I want what's best for both the writer and the writing. I think of myself as a kind of personal trainer for writers and poets and have worked with both beginning authors and seasoned professionals, like David Bentley Hart.
