Chloë Sellers – Editor

I fell in love with editing in college, when a frustrated author handed me a manuscript they were tired of looking at, and the rest is history! I've been editing for small businesses, nonfiction authors, and educational institutes ever since.

Some of my favorite recent projects include:

1. Developmental and line editing for a historical fiction novel centered on queer love and righteous vengeance during the Reconstruction era, where historical context and emotional intimacy were equally important.

2. Line editing, developmental editing, formatting, and publishing a nonfiction manuscript on intimacy and spirituality, written by a couple who found each other again decades after first meeting in elementary school. It was a project that required a sensitive editorial hand and deep respect for lived experience (not to mention an ability to laugh, cry, and celebrate with first-time authors).

I specialize in developmental and line editing, working closely with authors to shape their ideas and strengthen their voice along the way. My approach has always been, "It's your job to create, and it's my job to get your creation to your audience." Leave the details to me!
