It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Micaela, a New York based editor who specializes in everything that falls on the commercial to literary fiction spectrum. I've worked in publishing for 5 years and have worked with incredible authors such as Anderson Cooper and Katherine Howe, Barbara Kingsolver, Louise Erdrich, Gina Sorell, Laurie Frankel, and so many others.
My current passion projects are in the women’s fiction space, as well as multigenerational family dramas, and love stories. I love to be able to help foster creative minds to bring to life the world that they are envisioning. Henry Holt
In this role, I acquire and edit commercial and literary fiction titles for publication on the Henry Holt list for upcoming seasons. I collaborate with authors who write women's fiction, coming of age stories, and literary portraits of family dramas.
HarperCollins Publishers
In this role, I acquired and edited commercial, contemporary, and literary fiction titles for publication on the Harper and Harper Perennial lists for frontlist seasons. I also assisted two editors in multiple titles that went on to win Pulitzer awards, National Book Awards, and be on the New York Times bestsellers list.
Chicago Review Press
In this role, I specialized in copyediting manuscripts for fiction and nonfiction titles on the Chicago Review Press list. I also assisted an editor in their acquisitions of fiction and nonfiction titles.
