Margarita Castaño – Designer

In my past life I was an executive creative director, I've been leading the creativity for brands such as Diesel, Absolut, Camper, Levi`s, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen L'oreal, Buckler, Loewe, Vodafone, among others. After all these years I can say I'm a versatile professional and I understand that every brand, client, brief, person, story, is unique.

In 2014 I decided it was time to change and I founded my own studio. That's where I started collaborating with publishing companies as an illustrator, I'm a regular collaborator of Planeta Editorial illustrating book covers for fiction novels. I wouldn't like to say that I'm specialized in women's literature because I consider myself quite flexible to face any type of commission, but it's a fact that most of the ones I've illustrated belong to that genre.

On the other side, Penguin Random House published the first comic book "Hardcore Maternity" that me and my friend and co-author Esther de la Rosa created, like in Hugh Grant "Song and lyrics" film, but in this case she put the words and me, the illustrations.
