Alberto Morales Ajubel – Designer

Hello,

I'm Ajubel, an illustrator based in Valencia, Spain, with many years experience in editorial illustration and children's and young adults’ books. Among my most notable works are 'Robinson Crusoe', a wordless graphic novel which gained 5 international awards (including the Bologna Ragazzi Award) and 'The Cat That Walked by Himself' by Rudyard Kipling, which was selected by Apple to promote the first iPad Mini in 2012.

Having worked on a number of editorial commissions, all requiring the exploration of different tools and techniques to illustrate and enrich the story, has given me the ability to completely immerse myself in the process of communicating through the visual image. I believe in reading in-between the lines of written language and telling the story in an unexpected and innovative way while still maintaining the author's perspective, voice and intention. My role is to create and conceptualize visually striking and rich illustrations that will bring your story to life and create a product we are both passionate and proud of.
