Paul Miele-Herndon

Paul Miele-Herndon – Designer

Brooklyn-based book cover designer specializing in innovative, fresh designs across multiple genres. Let's create a cover that stands out!

Overview

Hi there! I’m Paul, a book cover designer based out of Brooklyn, NY. I’ve been reading books voraciously since I was a wee lad, and for the past 4+ years I’ve been designing covers for them as well. I currently live and work in NYC, where I design covers across a large variety of genres for major publishers. My work has been featured in publications like Spine Magazine, and I’ve had the privilege of designing the covers of multiple New York Times-bestselling books on both the fiction and nonfiction lists.

As a reader myself, I engage in books not just as a career, but as a hobby, and you can often find me making a detour through the nearest bookstore — to pick up a book or two to read, of course, but also to look out for new art styles I like or type treatments I admire. It’s In this way that I first became enamored with cover design, and it continues to be one of the ways in which I stay up to date on the latest trends in the space. Thus, whether your book is a memoir or literary fiction, exposé or thriller, you can rest assured that I will be able to deliver a cover that works within your genre of choice, but is also fresh, new, and stands out on shelves.

Feel free to reach out and ask me anything you’d like to know about my process! I specialize in photographic designs, but am more than capable of working in any style you’re interested in, particularly type-focused treatments (either typeset or handwritten). I look forward to working with you!
