Non-fiction editor, specializing in business, self-help, and narrative non-fiction.
I am a non-fiction editor specializing in areas of business, self-help, health & wellness, and narrative non-fiction. My career has taken me from indie publishing houses to Big 5 trade houses to my current role as a business editor at McGraw-Hill Education.
My belief is this: Books have the power to change the world. If your book has something to offer, I want to help you make it the best that it can be.
As an editorial assistant, I work with business editors on a variety of titles including leadership/ management, workplace skills, innovation, finance, sales, and marketing. I work with my managers to edit their business titles and also developmentally edit various titles that I have acquired myself.
I work with self-published writers to develop and edit full- manuscripts, and help businesses build and develop their brand by writing, editing, and creating product description or social media content.
As an assistant editor, I acquired and edited self-help, health and fitness titles, lifestyle, and pop history titles. Many of the titles I worked on were titles in translation and I worked tirelessly with the authors and translators to ensure that the authors' stories were conveyed correctly. I also acquired various original titles, which I worked directly with authors to developmentally edit and fine tune.
