Krista Hill

Krista Hill – Editor

Dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced editor and published author. Extensive background in Comparative Literature.

Overview

Hire an editor, not a spellchecker! Experienced editor and published author. Specializing in fiction and autobiography/memoir, children’s lit, and other genres. Backgrounds in Comparative Lit and both self and traditional publishing. I offer fair and competitive industry rates based on wc and review of sample. In the tradition of Max Perkins, I defer to my authors' individual styles and strive to bring out the best therein. My authors have earned awards on my development and also garnered traditional contracts.

I offer developmental edits with deep analysis of structure, continuity, and conformity in accordance with The Chicago Manual of Style. I strive that any self-publishing clients do not embarrass themselves and publish with traditional publishing competitiveness. I am also available to those who need to "re-publish" and offer competitive rates.

Introductory evaluations are also available at a pro-rated fee. If you want an editor who has your back at every turn, hire me.

Finally, please do not ask me to work for free. I'm quite certain you don't.

this has to do more with Reedsy, I am asked to do a review and we are not done. Not fair. I do wish Krista and I could have communicated more. It could be my fault. I have learned a lot but have a long way to go. I would like to work with Krista again

Jerry had my private phone number and email the entire time. He was free to communicate me outside of Reedsy. Not sure he understood that.
