Jamie R

Jamie R – Editor

I am an experienced Senior Editor/Proofreader specializing in comic books, graphic novels, young adult literature, and children's fiction.

Overview

Hi there! I am a writer/editor/proofreader/mentor/Jill of all trades, so long as those trades involve words. I work full-time as an editor at Archie Comic Publications, Inc., and have also written a number of series for the legendary company, including their first-ever YA original graphic novel, Betty & Veronica: the Bond of Friendship. In addition to my comic writing, I also write a bi-monthly column for the California-based, non-profit DIY punk culture magazine Razorcake, where I have frank discussions about mental health. I have also dabbled in the past with writing satire, and will jump at any and all opportunities to write comedy. I enjoy doing hands-on work with youth, teen, and mental health organizations, and doing all I can to make people smile. I am also a recently converted wrestling fan and would love to talk your ear off about it if you'll let me. I am proud to call the near-outskirts of New York City my home, where I live with my husband and our small-yet-thriving window plant collection.

Jamie got right back to me and found several errors I had overlooked. No matter how many times you read your story it seems there is always something.

What a pleasure it was to work with Jamie! Professional and prompt (dare say even earlier than expected with her help), I truly valued her take on my characters and story editing!
Jamie R.
Thank you so much, Trip! Best of luck on your graphic novel!
