Kimberly Hill

Kimberly Hill – Editor

I've been a freelance proofreader for close to 20 years. I've proofread everything from cookbooks to business books for major publishers.

Overview

I provide proofreading, cold reading, slugging, and copyediting services to several major publishing houses (Simon & Schuster, Random House, and HarperCollins). I work on all genres: self-help, cookbooks, religion, business, pop culture, political/current events, biography, memoir, historical romance, modern romance, and science fiction. My preference is nonfiction, particularly business, cookbooks, self-help, religion, and decorating/DIY. Though most of my proofreading is done on hardcopy, I am well versed in using Adobe's text edits. I enjoy proofreading; I enjoy doing my part to make a book as perfect as possible.

I'm also a managing editor for a well-known professional publisher managing a list of higher-level math and statistics titles for several commissioning editors. I am very knowledgeable about the publishing arena.
