John Hopton – Editor

Hi there, I'm John. I have been an author for fifteen years and an editor for almost as long (starting back when I thought it was a good idea to be the sole editor of my own books!). Over the years, I have worked with bestselling authors to make their book the best product it can be. I know the self-publishing industry inside-out. Most importantly of all, I know and love the English language.

I specialize in editing action-adventure novels, international thrillers, crime novels and spy stories. Many of my editing projects have turned into long-term collaborations working with the same author on multiple books.

A little more about me before we get started:

In other work, I have many years of experience writing and editing content for major international hotel chains and global companies, as well as online news sites focusing on health, science, and technology. I have worked on traditional magazines as a writer and editor, and I have been published in Hemispheres, the in-flight magazine of United Airlines.

I split my time between Japan and the UK. I have two beautiful children who taught me a whole new set of communication skills.
