Hi there - I'm John. I have been an author for fifteen years and an editor for almost as long. During that time, being part of the global author community has changed my life.

I have worked with novelists from all over the world, from new writers to established authors. I am experienced in editing American and British English, as well as the wonderful Canadian and Australian variations.

I believe that communication and courtesy are vital to any professional partnership. I will always keep you updated about what's happening with your project, and I'll never leave you waiting for an update. I know how important book projects are to authors, and I truly want to help you make your manuscript as good as it can be.

I know the self-publishing industry inside-out, and I am always happy to pass on my knowledge.

I am a certified copy editor and proofreader through the College of Media and Publishing, which is listed by the UK government and accredited by the CPD Standards Office.

I specialize in editing crime novels, international thrillers, historical fiction, and espionage stories. Many of my editing projects have turned into long-term collaborations, working with the same author on multiple books.

In other work, I have many years of experience writing and editing content for major international hotel chains and global companies, as well as online news sites focusing on health, science, and technology. I have worked on traditional magazines as a writer and editor, and I have been published in Hemispheres, the in-flight magazine of United Airlines.

I split my time between Japan and the UK. I have two beautiful children who taught me a whole new set of communication skills.
