Overview
I am a passionate, experienced editor and book coach who has worked with best-selling, award-winning, and brand-new authors. My passion is helping authors achieve their dreams and create projects they can be proud of.
I live for weaving love stories across all genres, from sweet novellas to extra spicy novels, in all heat levels in young adult, new adult, and adult. I adore nearly all romance subgenres, from contemporary and paranormal to romantasy, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense.
I have a soft spot for editing projects that have a romantic subplot even if it’s just minor or secondary thread, like women’s fiction, suspense, and cozy mysteries. My background as an avid sports fanatic and former sports reporter allows me to dig into projects featuring an athlete such as in sports romances. I also welcome collaborating on dark romance books that push the boundaries, while also connecting with first loves in YA fiction.
As a former editor for Kensington Corporation and an intern for Entangled Publishing, I've been editing romance and romantic fiction for more than a decade. I've supported authors at all stages of their careers with a range of editorial services, from assessments to developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading.
As a passionate wordsmith who still writes, I empathize with the daunting and solitary path of editing. I've experienced criticism so harsh it left me feeling like giving up. I credit my journey to becoming an editor to that firsthand experience, and take pride in fostering a supportive, motivating, and positive environment for authors to learn and thrive.
Through positive language, constructive criticism, and a deep understanding of genre and reader expectations, writing and story mechanics, and the current marketplace, I provide feedback to help make your manuscript the best it can be while maintaining the author’s voice and vision.
Every author has a unique journey, and I'm eager to discover if I'm the ideal match for yours.
