Overview

I am and experienced editor with a passion for empowering authors. Whether you're a seasoned writer or embarking on your first book, I offer a range of editorial services to refine your manuscript and guide it toward publication.

Developmental editing:

• Stuck on plot or characters?

• Finding the setting or world tough to nail down?

• Having trouble wrapping up a plot line?

I'll collaborate with you to strengthen the core elements of your manuscript, including plot, character development, world-building, and overall structure. My feedback will be insightful and respectful, ensuring your unique voice remains at the forefront.

Copyediting:

• Almost ready to publish or query?

• Worried about consistency, clarity and flow?

I'll help you polish up the grammar, punctuation, and style in your manuscript so your readers or publishing professionals can focus on reading your story. And I'll use the Chicago Manual of Style to make sure your manuscript is up to industry standards.

Proofreading:

• Self-publishing soon? Is your book typeset?

• Need a lighter edit than copyediting?

I'll work with you to catch typos, lingering errors, and layout issues to ensure your manuscript is polished and professional. I'll meticulously address any errors and inconsistencies, ensuring your writing shines.

Editorial Assessment:

• Not sure where your story fits in the market?

• Ready to self-edit but don't know where to start?

I'll provide a thorough evaluation of your plot, style, flow, and audience compatibility so you can plan your self-edit.

Query Review:

• About to start querying?

• Want professional feedback on your pitch?

I'll help you craft a query letter that gets noticed by agents and editors. I can help you navigate the vast void between an off-the-mark query letter and a query letter that gets results.

Genres I love working with:

• Fantasy

• Sci-fi

• Paranormal/fantasy romance

• Picture books

• Nonfiction kidlit

• History

I work with seasoned writers looking to take their books to the next level and emerging writers embarking on their publishing journeys. I'll tailor my approach based on your personal needs.

Let's Collaborate:

I'm committed to helping your story reach its full potential. I approach each project with sensitivity and careful attention, making suggestions for improvement without compromising your authorial voice and vision.

Editing is my greatest passion, and I would love to use it to help you with your next writing project. If you would like to work with me, get in touch.

Happy writing!

Anna was responsive and punctual, and her edits were thorough and accurate. She caught many little mistakes and oversights, and she was an expert on grammatical rules. My short story was much better for our collaboration, and I would certainly work with her again. Her pricing was also very reasonable. Highly recommended.
