Overview
"I could not speak more highly of Stephanie. People like to say “nobody’s perfect,” but Stephanie’s editorial work seems to prove them wrong. Meticulous and thorough in everything she does, Stephanie always produces the most polished and perfected form of an author’s writing. The content she edits and finalizes speaks to her diligent work ethic and her experience."
What I Offer:
Copyediting to refine style, voice, and consistency.
Proofreading to catch those final errors before publication.
A collaborative, author-focused approach that strengthens your writing without erasing your unique voice.
Expertise in romance, fantasy, and thrillers — with openness to all fiction genres.
Why Work With Me?
Authors who partner with me can expect a professional eye, a supportive editorial relationship, and a dedication to helping their stories reach readers at their best. I know how much heart goes into every manuscript, and I approach each project with care, precision, and enthusiasm.
Let’s polish your story so it’s ready to captivate readers.
My Copyediting Approach:
I use a detail-oriented process to ensure your story shines:

Clarity & Flow → Smooth awkward sentences, refine rhythm, preserve your unique voice.
Error Detection → Catch subtle AI “glitches” (contradictions, repetitions, hallucinated details).
The result? A clean, consistent, and reader-ready manuscript that feels fully human.

Aside from working with indie authors, I’ve done copyediting and proofreading work for Kensington Books and Meals on Wheels. I was recently accepted to do upcoming projects for Macmillan and Hachette, two of the Big Five Publishers in the US. I gained invaluable editing experience in acquisitions through an internship at Future House Books, a fiction publisher, as well as in online and book editing at Our National Conversation, a start-up media company.
"As a debut author looking to self-publish, I researched a lot of potential copy editors—the right fit, the right price, the right person. Then, I stumbled across Stephanie, and there was just something about the professionalism and ease she offered. Instantly, my sense of her professionalism was confirmed. She was buttoned up. Quick to respond. Laid everything out very clearly. You know, everything you want in an editor to help take some of that “over” off of whelming. When she returned my manuscript along with a style sheet, I could tell she lived in the details—flagging misused words, formatting, POV hops, suggestions for improvement, honest feedback, etc.—all while keeping my tone and voice intact."
