Hello, authors!

I bring a 360-degree perspective to my editorial work: I’m a literary agent and children’s author with a background in editorial at both major and independent publishing houses. I edit picture books, early readers, middle grade, and young adult; for adult fiction, I offer detailed editorial assessment reports.

I’ve worked the evaluation process from both sides of the agent/editor table, and I’m familiar with the vulnerability and craft challenges of writing for young readers. My query experience is informed by my years working as an agent, and by my responsibilities as the editorial evaluator of all unagented submissions at Scholastic.

When working with authors, my feedback isn’t limited to craft quality; I also focus on submission-readiness, market positioning, and the strength of your collective materials as a robust and attractive package. I want you to understand what's working, what needs attention, and what to prioritize in your revision; I also provide the “why” behind my suggestions, from the perspective of publishing's decision-makers.

I love helping authors of all backgrounds strengthen the materials that introduce their projects to agents, publishers, grants, mentorships, fellowships, and other opportunities.
