Hi! I'm an editor and author with over 15 years of publishing industry experience, including 10 years in editorial. I specialize in Children's Lit (picture books, middle grade, YA), Fantasy, and Inspirational Romance.

Over my career I have worked at Scholastic, HarperCollins, Harlequin, Owlkids, The Rights Factory Literary Agency, and with many freelance clients. My edited books have received acclaim, including nominations for the OLA Forest of Reading in various categories, CCBC Best Books for Kids and Teens, and the NYT Bestseller List for mass market.

I have a Professional Development Award in Children's Publishing and have taught dozens of panels and workshops over the years on writing, querying, worldbuilding, and the publishing process. I love both the big-picture conversations about books and finding those last little typos that come between your reader and a flawless reading experience.

My own books have been published in over five languages and nine countries. INK, RAIN, and HEIR TO THE SKY were nominated for Best YA Novel in the SF/F Aurora Awards, and my short fiction has been long-listed for the Sunburst Award and included in award-winning anthologies. I'm excited to use my experience to bring out the potential in your manuscript!

My special interests and strengths include worldbuilding, language and culture creation for Fantasy, horses, Amish culture, Indigenous Knowledge-keeping, Christian romance, gaming, cross stitch, music, and Classical Archaeology. (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Ancient Greece and Rome, etc.)
