Sarah Goehrke – Editor

I'm an author, editor, and the kind of reader who circles typos as she goes (privately!) when digging through a TBR tower.

My day jobs have laid a sturdy foundation in complicated areas, from editing and then writing market research reports (ask me about amines or pet insurance!) to more than a decade as an editor-in-chief leading the way in 3D printing reporting around the world. I've also established a business offering editorial services for advanced manufacturing, and have worked with clients from media to HP to garage startups. If I can make the dry stuff readable, and translate 'engineer' to 'layperson'—imagine the possibilities in fiction!

I've been freelance editing for Kensington Publishing since 2016, and before that for the now-defunct Ellora's Cave. Through these houses, I've worked on nearly every genre, from historical romance to contemporary thriller to epic fantasy to romantasy. I am also a 2026 debut author, publishing with a small press and starting a literary fantasy series. While I've worked across every part of the editing process, as a freelancer my favorite work is in copy editing and proofreading.

I'm a great fit for especially speculative, historical, and other worldbuilding-heavy writing, but I never turn down a cozy story. I especially love series!
