Overview
I am a book cover designer with over 20 years of experience in the editorial industry.
My professional journey includes a 7-year tenure at the Design Department of Record Publishing Group, the largest non-didactic book publishing conglomerate in Latin America.
During my time at Record Publishing Group, I specialized in designing covers for a wide array of high-volume, mass-market literary genres.
Currently, in addition to my full-time commitments, I collaborate with authors and publishers as a freelance editorial designer.
I am passionate about my work and look forward to discussing potential collaborations and how I can contribute to your upcoming publication.

"Working with Elmo has always been a great pleasure. Punctual, creative, collaborative, and a professional with a very diverse portfolio, he has the ability to dive into each briefing and capture the message in the details. I always found it easy to approve his proposals because they are carefully thought out and, in addition, are beautiful."
— Andreia Amaral do Espírito Santo (Civilização Brasileira, an imprint of Grupo Editorial Record)
"Elmo is one of my favorites designers to work with. He's very talented and his aesthetic sense is incredible. His award winning designs always blow my mind. His cover for the Brazilian edition of 'The Exorcist', by William Peter Blatty, is one of my favorites ever. He's also one of the most easygoing person I have ever met. He listens very carefully to the client's requests and can still present an amazing design with his own twist. When I work with Elmo, I truly feel that there is a collaboration between client and designer. You simply can't go wrong with Elmo."
— Ulisses Teixeira (HarperCollins Brazil)
"Elmo is an extremely skilled and creative designer. From minimal ideas, he would present ingenious solutions. It is worth noting that he is a versatile professional and easy to work with."
— Felipe Harrison (Grupo Editorial Record)
