Overview
Since graduating I have been using my experience to work for non-profits, doing work such as managing blogs and ghostwriting speeches. For Suffragette Stories, one such organisation, I worked as part of an editorial team launching an online anthology of stories inspired by suffragettes and in honour of the 100th anniversary of the movement. The anthology was a mix of both new writers and established authors, such as Katy Darby and Sara Taylor.
Recently, I have been working for the non-profit Living Libraries as their creative literary director. With them, I have lead the development of a children's picture book that was published in 2019 and am overseeing the creation of a children's graphic novel series, three of which are set to be published in winter 2020.
Working in these disparate environments, the one thing they all had in common was the passion the writer has for their project. I think that is where my job as an editor is found: helping you hone your passion to be the best it can be.
