The sound from the rain falling down on the umbrellas bore by those gathered in the cemetery creates a lulling atmosphere. A little girl around the age of nine is amongst the throng of visitors, in their efforts to stay dry they also provide a canopy for her as she eyes the mahogany casket with equal measures of sadness and curiosity. She looks down at her feet. Her black shoes begin to slowly become consumed by the earth as the soil becomes more saturated, the water churning with the grass causes her to shift her weight...

Situated in a rural landscape is a lone house sharing miles of roadway between neighbors. A single mailbox rests at the beginning of a winding driveway that leads up to a house in the distance. Its two-story architecture affords it an odd angled shingle-fitted sloped roof, with windows spaced accordingly throughout its sides. A rather quaint farm-style home by most anyone’s standards, but for all of its tranquility it holds an eerie ambiance even on this nice morning.
