Max was just about to reach his 10-mile milestone for the day. He glanced at his black fit-bit watch. 130 bpm Not bad. The anxiety I was feeling was palpable. Sweat skid down from my forehead down on my neck. For some reason, I was hyperventilating. My anticipation was high for this expedition.
