I don’t know what compelled me to that night but I decided to take the long way home. I define myself as an efficient person. One who takes the short way home because I know it’s faster and I have more productive things to do than peruse the monotonous commodities my town has to offer. I normally leave work at 6:00 p.m., walk the 13 minute, beeline path home and immediately begin making dinner for my husband and I.
