I am a stranger in a strange land. Born and raised in a major city, moved to a smaller one and then bought a house in an even smaller one. I love my house. It was dropped here just for me. Built somewhere between 1900 and 1930 it still has old knob and tube wiring, horizontal beadboard, coal burners, wood flooring, and an original mantelpiece replete with dentil molding. There are woods behind my house, too. I used to see a good bit of wildlife, but over time the animals have almost disappeared (along with my sanity) due to humans, coyotes, ...
