Sherry is a recently retired teacher-librarian with a B.Ed. from Brandon University, Brandon, MB. She became interested in writing when she started teaching. Her initial interest began with Children's Lit. but she has recently begun exploring adult fiction, with a particular interest in speculative fiction. Sherry is currently living at Onanole, MB with her husband and daughter. She has had two stories published in short story collections and a children’s story published in a local newspaper. Last year, her children's story “Mommies Always Come Back” was awarded Fifth Place in the 2024 Children’s/Young Adult Fiction category of the 93rd Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.
