As the last vestiges of daylight fade from the sky, it takes me only a few seconds to realise that I'm hopelessly lost. Trees, tall and imposing, crowd me on all sides. Jack couldn't speak - he could only scream as he woke up to the sound of his mother's voice whispering to him from the corner of his dark bedroom.
