I feel a bead of sweat form and then run down my neck until it hits the edge of my damp tank top and disappears. My skin is hot and clammy from the heat of the sun. I take a moment to look up at the sun’s position, I squint and brush aside my sweat-soaked hair as I try to determine how long I’ve been walking.
