It isn't as if I don't like Marlene's family. They're friendly people, sometimes a little too loud but genuine. They ask about your life, your job; they remember your hobbies and show genuine interest when asking about them. Her Uncle Herb is pretty funny and makes me laugh anytime he's around. I like when he's around. Even so, I always find myself dreading her family gatherings.
